PNG output is lossless — no quality loss at all. JPG and WEBP use 90% quality which is visually identical to the original for most images. Converting between lossy formats (like JPG to WEBP) does involve a small recompression step but the visual difference is imperceptible.
When converting to PNG or WEBP, transparency is fully preserved. When converting to JPG, transparent areas will be replaced with a white background since JPG does not support transparency. Choose PNG or WEBP if you need to keep transparent backgrounds.
